Who We Are

We work with the public, social, and not-for-profit sectors to tackle complex issues and generate solutions that improve people’s lives and strengthen communities.

We are a passionate and industrious bunch who put our varied expertise to work for the communities we serve. We are service designers, behavioural scientists, project managers, conveners, problem solvers, innovators, doers.

We integrate unique approaches like human-centred design, behavioural science, and change management into how we tackle big problems with our clients and communities—and the solutions we deliver are better for it.

We convene teams with diverse and complementary backgrounds to enhance the value we bring and the solutions we create. Our project teams are close-knit, dynamic, and quick on their feet.

Our team has a deep commitment to improving social outcomes, a healthy intolerance for the status quo, and the drive to make the world a better place. We care about the people using public services, the people delivering those services, and one another.

Davis Pier is B Corp Certified, our team is made up of dedicated change makers. For many of us, a lot of the values that B Corp promotes come second nature to us.   We are lucky to work with a passionate group of individuals who seek to implement real, sustainable change within our work and communities.

Davis Pier and Pier Labs are an equal opportunity employer, dedicated to creating a workplace culture of inclusiveness that reflects the diverse communities that we serve.  We encourage applications from women, BIPOC, LGBTQ2S+, and people with disabilities as we strive to build a more inclusive society.

If you will require accommodations at any stage of the selection process, please state the nature of the accommodations in your cover note.

We would like to invite applicants to self-identify if they belong to an equity-seeking group and disclose this information in their cover letter. Self-disclosure is completely optional.

We strive to create an environment where anti-racism work isn’t a top-down approach, but something that every employee has the tools and knowledge to call out where systems foster inequality and hold our leaders accountable to address them. Anti-racism is not just a policy. It is a set of principles against which we measure every aspect of our work. To learn more about our approach and the steps we’re taking to ensure we are living up to our commitments you can read our DEI Commitment Statement here
